Marketing and Communications Coordinator

This is a part-time role starting at approximately 20 hours / week for a primarily marketing based role, but could be full-time with the addition of administration responsibilities. Our clinic offers a wonderful working environment and a fun team to work with 2-5 days/week, which will include some evening and Saturday shifts. Our compensation package includes a bonus structure, benefits and training opportunities, and will be determined based upon relevant experience.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Marketing Specialist to assist with the design, planning and execution of our marketing efforts. The ideal candidate is an amazing communicator with great interpersonal skills, the ability to effectively time manage, and has background in curating and producing high quality print and online advertisements.

We appreciate individuals who take initiative, come up with awesome, fresh ideas and have the energy to make things happen. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and will be individually driven to complete tasks. Most work will be completed in-office, however the opportunity to work remotely is also a possibility.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide strategic direction and recommendations for ongoing marketing initiatives including developing and implementing unique monthly promotions both in-office and online
  • Assist with the marketing planning, product positioning and pricing strategies
  • Track and assist with analyzing business metrics to gauge success of growth tactics used
  • Manage an annual marketing budget
  • Laisse with external marketing partners via phone, email, and in-person to develop and execute strategies
  • Act as the Practice Ambassador and meet with other working professionals to build and foster on-going working relationships
  • Manage and respond to online inquiries and reviews with tact and professionalism
  • Some minor reception tasks in-office required

REQUIREMENTS and QUALIFICATIONS

  • Flawless writing skills and the ability to craft a personable, professional tone for all public-facing communications
  • Proficiency with Google docs, Microsoft Office (in particular Excel, Word, and OneNote)
  • Familiarity and comfort with Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, YouTube, Instagram, and Google+
  • Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Creative Suite or some other photo/video editing software is an asset but not required
  • A desire to learn, grow, and be part of a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Part-time

Required education:

Diploma/Certificate preferred but not required. The successful candidate will have some Marketing education. A current Marketing or Business student (minor or major) will certainly be considered.

Required experience:

The successful candidate will have at least one year of marketing experience. Online marketing experience and/or a focus on medical marketing is definitely an asset.

Associate Optometrist

Cranston Market Optometry is growing and looking for a dynamic associate optometrist. Come practice optometry to the full extent of your training and achieve your professional goals in our friendly SE Calgary clinic.

  • Would you like to join a full-scope practice with a great team, state-of-the-art equipment and significant growth potential?

We are looking for a doctor who will wow our patients of all ages, is comfortable with recommending the perfect visual solutions to meet our patients’ needs, and who wants the challenge of helping to grow a practice. Ideally, we would like someone to add a niche “specialty” to our practice – for example vision therapy, pediatrics or specialty contact lenses.

This position could be part-time or full-time; please let us know your preference and availability. It will be a minimum one-year maternity leave, with the potential for a permanent position. The start date is flexible and can be between March and July 2016.

Our team is highly trained Personal Eyecare Consultants who will guide our patients through pre-test, in the exam room (chair-side assist/scribe) and into our eyewear gallery. We use the best diagnostic equipment to provide superior eyecare including OCT / fundus camera, Optomap with auto-fluorescence, Corneal Topographer, Visual Fields, pachymeter, iPad and computerized charts, and Auto-Phoropter. Our office’s equipment is fully integrated with our Visual Eyes software and multiple viewing screens.

Our Eyewear Gallery provides quality Visual Solutions including a full range of contact lenses, designer frames, customized digital lenses and fashion sunglasses. Our team of optometric assistants, opticians, and fellow optometrists will support you in providing excellent eyecare in a professional, fun, and caring environment.
